Jet Test and Transport was officially founded in 2006 by Gloyd Robinson and Steven Giordano; however, prior to operating as Jet Test, Robinson and Giordano contracted for Robert Allen's company Avia Crew Leasing which began ferry and test flight operations in 1999. Initially the company operated in support of B737, DC-9, MD-80, and B757/767 operations worldwide, utilizing 3rd party flight support resources. Even in the beginning, all of the flying was conducted by the 3 partners. Jet Test and Avia Crew Leasing operated separately for a number of years under an informal agreement not to encroach on each others customers; as Giordano, Robinson, and Allen all remained good friends - even helping one another when times were busy.
In 2014, Avia Crew Leasing and Jet Test and Transport merged into a single company with the vision of creating the first and only DEDICATED transaction-related flight operations company, complete with in-house resources such as our own crews, an in-house dispatch and planning facility with licensed dispatchers, a proprietary operations management system, CMS, and trip-planning system, ferry equipment such as SATCOMs, portable HF Radios, life rafts, ELTs, staffed A&P mechanics, an A134 BCAA operating certificate, standardization and training programs, and a corporate travel agency.
Today, Jet Test and Transport operates approximately 250 individual flight operations per year, on and between 6 continents, on behalf of dozens of Airlines, Lessors, MROs, and STC holders. We can support operations on FAA, EASA, Bermuda, Guernsey, and about 30 different international registrations with license validations. We purchase about 4.0 Million gallons of Jet-A per year, and operate on our own ICAO callsign "JTN". The Managing Partners and In-house crews can operate the following aircraft types: B717, B727, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787, A300, A310, A319/20/21, A330, A340, A350, ERJ135/145, ERJ170/190, CRJ, ATR42/72, DHC-8/Q400, L382, DC-9, MD-80, and DC-10/MD11. We also have a flight test and special-projects team with Security Clearance and 20 years of operational and flight-test experience on both military and civil aircraft platforms.
Our latest endeavor is the rollout of Jet Test OMS (Operations and Management Services) which provides Air Carrier Certificate (121/135) Consulting and Planning as well as Part 125 post-holder, management services, and long-term flight crew solutions for private operators and corporate shuttle operations.
